These terms set out the basis on which Pradit Watch Studio accepts watches for service, handles your belongings, and conducts its work. We ask that you read them at your ease before leaving a watch with us.
Last updated: 12 May 2025
These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Pradit Watch Studio ("we", "us", "the studio") and any customer ("you", "the customer") who leaves a timepiece for inspection, repair, or restoration. By handing over a watch for service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms.
These terms are governed by Thai law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Chiang Mai Province, Thailand.
Pradit Watch Studio offers three principal services for personal timepieces:
We reserve the right to decline any watch where the required work falls outside our current capabilities or where the condition of the piece makes a satisfactory outcome unlikely. In such cases, we will let you know clearly and return the watch without charge.
Published prices (฿4,100 for Quartz Care; ฿9,300 for Automatic Service; ฿14,000 for Restoration) represent the standard service fee. Where a watch requires additional attention beyond the scope of its service category — for example, replacement parts, specialist components, or significantly more complex work — we will contact you with a revised estimate before proceeding.
No additional work will be carried out without your explicit approval. If you do not wish to proceed with an additional estimate, we will reassemble the watch to the best practical state and return it to you. A partial fee may apply to cover work already completed at that point.
All prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿) and are inclusive of applicable taxes where required by Thai law.
When you leave a watch with us, we will issue a written receipt describing the piece, its apparent condition on arrival, and the service agreed. Please retain this receipt — it will be requested when you collect your watch.
We ask that you disclose any known history of the watch that may be relevant to the service: previous repairs, modifications, water damage, or unusual use. This helps us give your watch appropriate care and set realistic expectations.
We handle all watches with care, but we ask you to understand that watchmaking involves inherent risk, particularly with aged, heavily worn, or previously modified movements. We will draw your attention to any such concerns before work begins.
Indicative service timescales are as follows:
These timescales are given in good faith and reflect our usual experience. They are not contractual commitments. Delays may arise from parts sourcing, the complexity of work discovered during service, or studio scheduling. We will keep you informed if a meaningful delay is anticipated.
We will contact you when your watch is ready for collection. Watches should be collected within 60 days of notification. After this period, we may apply a modest storage fee of ฿50 per day to cover the space and security involved in holding the piece.
Watches left uncollected for more than 12 months following notification, and where we have been unable to reach you by phone and email, may be subject to disposal at the studio's discretion in accordance with applicable Thai law. We will document all reasonable contact attempts before any such action.
Full payment of any outstanding balance is required before a watch is released.
Payment is due in full upon collection of the watch. We accept cash (Thai Baht), bank transfer, and major credit and debit cards. We do not require a deposit for standard services, though for Restoration work we may request a deposit of up to 30% of the agreed fee to cover initial parts and materials.
Invoices are issued at the time of collection. Receipts are available on request.
We take reasonable professional care with every watch entrusted to us. Our liability in relation to any watch in our possession is limited to the fair market value of the timepiece as assessed at the time it was received, or the cost of the agreed service, whichever is lower — except in cases of negligence or wilful misconduct on our part.
We are not liable for pre-existing faults that become apparent during or after service, for the natural deterioration of aged components, or for outcomes that fall outside the agreed scope of work.
We strongly recommend that customers with particularly valuable or irreplaceable timepieces maintain their own insurance coverage. We are pleased to provide written descriptions or photographs of a watch's condition on receipt, to assist with any such arrangements.
By leaving a watch with us, you confirm that you are the owner of the timepiece, or that you have been authorized by the owner to arrange the service. We will not service watches where there is reason to believe the piece may be stolen or where valid authorization cannot be established.
Where original manufacturer parts are available and reasonably priced, we will make use of them where appropriate. In some cases — particularly for older or less common movements — compatible aftermarket or reclaimed parts may be the most practical option. We will discuss this with you before proceeding, especially for restoration work where originality matters.
Replaced parts are available for inspection on request and may be returned to you if you wish to keep them.
We stand behind the quality of our workmanship. If a fault directly attributable to our service arises within six months of collection, we will assess and, where appropriate, correct it without additional charge. This warranty applies to the work we have carried out and does not extend to unrelated components, accidental damage, or wear that occurs after collection.
To make use of this arrangement, please contact us with your receipt number and a description of the concern. We ask that you bring the watch in for us to assess directly rather than arranging third-party work, as this preserves our ability to understand what has occurred.
With your permission, we may take photographs of watches before, during, and after service for our own records and quality assurance. Where we share such images — for example on our website or social media — we will not include any personal information and will seek your consent before using images that could identify you or your property.
We are a small, independent studio and we care about every customer's experience. If something has not gone as you hoped, we ask that you speak with us directly. We take concerns seriously and will do our best to find a fair and reasonable resolution.
You may reach us by phone at +66 53 619 2847, by email at [email protected], or in person at 41 Nimmanhaemin Road, Suthep, Chiang Mai 50200, during studio hours.
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in effect at the time your watch is received by us will apply to that service. The current version is always available on our website and at the studio on request.
