The same standard of care, applied across all three services
Whether the service is a straightforward quartz battery and seal check or a full restoration of a vintage piece, the approach at Pradit stays consistent: assess thoroughly, communicate openly, work carefully, and return the watch in better condition than we received it.
Every watch is inspected before we begin. Pricing is discussed and agreed in advance. No additional work is done without your knowledge. And for restoration work, a written record accompanies the watch when you collect it.
Service 01
Quartz Care Service

Attentive care for quartz watches, including a fresh battery, contact cleaning, seal inspection, and a light case clean. Where the watch is rated for it, we confirm water resistance and advise gently on any gasket that should be renewed. A simple, useful service for daily-wear pieces — usually a few days.
What's included
- Battery replacement with a quality cell appropriate to the movement
- Battery contact cleaning to prevent future corrosion
- Gasket and seal inspection; water resistance test where rated
- Light case and crystal exterior clean
- Honest advice on any additional needs found
Process
Initial inspection — we note the watch's condition and confirm the service scope before starting
Battery and contact service — old cell removed, contacts cleaned, new cell fitted
Seal check and water resistance pressure test (for rated watches)
Case cleaned and watch returned with brief notes on anything notable found
Service 02
Automatic Service & Regulation

A balanced service for automatic watches running fast, slow, or unevenly. We clean and re-lubricate the movement, inspect the balance and escapement, and regulate across positions for steadier timekeeping. Gaskets are refreshed and the crown checked. Suited to watches worn often — about two to three weeks.

- Application of correct lubricants at appropriate points
- Balance wheel and escapement inspection and adjustment
- Timing machine regulation across multiple positions
- Gasket and crown inspection; water resistance testing where rated
Process
Assessment — we observe the movement's current behaviour and note any concerns before disassembly
Disassembly and cleaning — components separated, cleaned ultrasonically, inspected individually
Lubrication and reassembly — each point lubricated to specification before the movement is rebuilt
Regulation — timing verified on a machine across dial-up, dial-down, and crown positions
Case resealing, water resistance testing, and return with timing results available on request
Service 03
Restoration with Care

A thoughtful restoration for vintage or sentimental watches. The movement is overhauled to a high standard, the case finish renewed with restraint, and the dial and hands attended to in keeping with the original look. Each step is discussed and documented so the result honours both the watch and its history. Five to seven weeks.

- Full movement overhaul — disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, reassembly, regulation
- Case refinishing with restraint — brushed and polished surfaces treated appropriately
- Dial and hands inspection; addressed where condition requires
- Crown, gaskets, and crystal replaced or renewed as appropriate
- Written documentation of work done, parts renewed, and condition notes
Process
Intake discussion — we examine the piece together and talk through what we find and what we'd suggest
Written estimate confirmed before any work begins
Movement overhaul — full disassembly, clean, inspection of parts for wear or damage
Case and dial work — discussed at each step, no changes made without your awareness
Final regulation, water testing, documentation prepared, watch returned with written record

Studio Standards
What holds across all three services
Timing Verification
Every mechanical movement we service is checked on a timing machine before returning it. Rate, amplitude, and beat error are all assessed.
Correct Lubricants
We use movement-appropriate lubricants, applied at the right points and in the right quantities. No generic oil applied across all components.
Careful Handling
Watches are secured throughout the work process. Finished case surfaces are protected during disassembly and reassembly.
Transparent Communication
We share what we find. If something changes mid-service, you'll hear about it before any additional work is done.
Water Resistance Testing
For watches with a water resistance rating, we pressure-test after resealing to confirm the case holds properly.
In-Studio Work
All work is carried out at our studio on Nimmanhaemin Road. Your watch doesn't leave the premises for standard servicing.
